Several wireless service providers have recently announced that they will be ending support for 'email to text' messages, which is the protocol that Choctaw Volunteer Fire Department uses to send emergency alerts to subscribers.
As such, we have made some changes in the way our 'emergency alert' messages will be pushed to subscribers' devices.

Step #1
Go to urgent.choctawfire.com in your web browser. Follow the on-screen instructions to add the mobile app to your device's home screen. |
Step #2 (If needed)
Click the SHARE arrow at the bottom center of the screen. |
Step #3 (If needed)
Choose the 'add to home screen' option. |
Step #4 (If needed)
Click on 'ADD' at the top right corner of the screen. |
Step #5
Once the mobile app is added to your device's home screen, open the mobile app from the home screen using the icon. Then, choose 'Allow' when prompted to 'Stay Updated'. |

When prompted, choose 'Allow' to allow the mobile app to send you notifications. |
