ROAD CLOSURES

Highway 1 is CLOSED south of the Leon Theriot Lock (South Lafourche Levee System) in Golden Meadow.

The Bayou Blue Pontoon Bridge (Highway 316) is CLOSED due to high water.

Cote Blanche Bridge in Cut Off is CLOSED to vehicular traffic.

Galliano Pontoon Bridge is CLOSED to vehicular traffic.

OTHER CLOSURES

Port Fourchon administrative offices will be CLOSED on Monday, June 8.

WARNINGS

A STATE OF EMERGENCY has been declared for Lafourche Parish due to Tropical Storm Cristobal.

A TROPICAL STORM WARNING is in effect for Lafourche Parish.

A FLOOD WATCH is in effect for Lafourche Parish.

EVACUATION ORDERS

A MANDATORY EVACUATION will go into effect at 6pm on Saturday, June 6 for all areas south of the Leon Theriot Lock in Golden Meadow, including Port Fourchon.

A MANDATORY EVACUATION is now in effect for the Town of Grand Isle (Jefferson Parish).

SHELTERS

A shelter is now open for evacuees at the Raceland Recreation Center, located at 241 Recreation Drive in Raceland. Evacuees are asked to contact the Lafourche Parish Government Emergency Operations Center at (985) 537-7603 prior to arriving at the shelter in order to best assist you.

SANDBAG LOCATIONS

Sandbag locations are self-fill only. Lafourche Parish Government asks that you bring your own shovel. If you cannot fill sandbags yourself, please contact the Lafourche Parish Emergency Operations Center at (985) 537-7603.
