Thanks to a grant from ConocoPhillips, Choctaw Volunteer Fire Department was able to acquire some much needed equipment to help us better serve our community.

We were able to purchase a GX Force Portable Gas Monitor, which will come in handy after hurricanes and other natural disasters, when portable generator use is extremely common. The GX Force is a portable 4-gas monitor designed for confined space entry and general safety monitoring. It's a lightweight, durable, and easy-to-use instrument capable of detecting four common hazardous gases: LEL (Lower Explosive Limit) combustibles, Oxygen, Carbon Monoxide, and Hydrogen Sulfide.

We were also able to purchase two iPad devices which will make completing reports a much simpler task.
