TODAY, WE REMEMBER

Today we remember Detective Chaney Champagne and Sergeant Kurt Harrelson.

Detective Champagne and Sergeant Harrelson were killed on July 31, 2003, when their patrol car collided with a truck on State Highway 308 approximately one mile north of Lockport.

Detective Champagne had served with the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office for 22 years. ​Sergeant Harrelson had served with the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Department for over 10 years.
