Emergency Alerts

The Choctaw Volunteer Fire Department offers our community the ability to receive text message alerts on their mobile phone in the event that we need to relay important information to members of our community.

This service rebroadcasts all emergency alerts that are sent out by the National Weather Service, as well as those sent out by the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office and the Lafourche Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness. We also utilize this service to inform the community of road closures and other situations that may affect the quality of life of the residents and visitors of our community.
