TODAY, WE REMEMBER

Today, we remember Mitchell 'Mitch' Tabor, who passed away on January 4, 2016.

Mitch helped establish the Choctaw Volunteer Fire Department over forty years ago, and his legacy includes serving as the first president of the fire department from 1983-1987, assistant fire chief from 2002-2003, and vice president for the the 12 years prior to his passing.

Mitch also served as chairman of Lafourche Fire District 8B. He and his wife, Priscilla, were among 20 charter members of the fire department, signing the articles of incorporation on October 12, 1983.
