Today, Governor John Bel Edwards announced he will extend Louisiana’s Stay at Home order until May 15 to continue to slow the spread of COVID-19. Louisiana does not currently meet the White House criteria for entering Phase One of reopening.

On Saturday, April 25, 2020, Lafourche Parish Government will distribute cloth face masks donated by Haynes Corporation at six (6) locations throughout the parish. The distribution will occur at set locations shown in the image below from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM or until the supply runs out. Each car will be given one pack, containing five masks. Governor Edwards' Statewide 'Stay at Home Order' remains in Effect. All non-essential businesses must CLOSE. Click HERE to see a list of essential businesses. Gatherings are limited to less than 10 people. Parish President Chaisson has ordered additional restrictions for Lafourche Parish. Click HERE to view the press release. Businesses can only operate between 6:00AM and 7:00PM. Restaurants can stay open until 10:00PM (carryout/drive-thru/delivery only). Drive-thru pharmacies may continue to operate around the clock (drive-thru only). Truck stops must close the front convenience store, but the rear entrance may remain open for truckers only. Grocery stores, pharmacies, and big box stores limited are to 50% of fire marshal capacity and are to close lawn/garden centers. A statewide BURN BAN remains in effect.
