President Donald Trump
: 30 Days to STOP THE SPREAD.

Governor John Bel Edwards: Statewide STAY AT HOME order in effect through April 30. 

Parish President Chaisson: ADDITIONAL RESTRICTIONS for Lafourche Parish through April 30.

A statewide BURN BAN is in effect.

PUBLIC AGENCIES

There is currently NO CURFEW enacted in Lafourche Parish. Click HERE to learn why.

Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office: offices open, but public is screened before entering. Residents encouraged to use online services:

Lafourche Parish Government: offices CLOSED to the public. Residents should use online services by clicking HERE.

17th Judicial District Court: all court trials and appearances suspended through May 1.

Lafourche Parish Clerk of Court: open weekdays 8:30am-1pm. Business conducted outside the door of the Courthouse Annex. Call (985) 447-4841 before arriving for service. Issuance of birth/death certificates & passports has been suspended until further notice.

All Lafourche Parish District Attorney’s Office locations are CLOSED to the public. Call (985) 447-2003 for assistance.

The Lafourche Parish Assessor’s Office is CLOSED. For property bonds, call (985) 447-7242. 

The Lafourche Parish Registrar of Voters Office is CLOSED to the public.

The Lafourche Parish Animal Shelter is CLOSED. All owner surrenders have been suspended. Stray intake has been reduced to emergency only. The spay/neuter program is suspended. Adoptions are still available online by clicking HERE.

All Lafourche Parish Public Libraries are CLOSED. The Virtual Library is available online by clicking HERE.

Lafourche Parish Water District Number 1 offices are CLOSED. Customers are encouraged to make payments online or by using the dropbox outside the main entrance of the office. If you need to pay a deposit, please call (985) 532-6924.

All Senior Centers are CLOSED.

All Medicaid Regional Offices are CLOSED. Online services are available by clicking HERE.

Office of Motor Vehicles: Some driver’s license expiration dates have been extended. Click HERE for more information.

SCHOOLS

Nicholls State University has moved classes online. Click HERE for more information.

All K-12 schools and Lafourche Parish Head Start will be closed through April 30, 2020. Please check with your child’s school/district for more specific information:

ABOUT COVID-19
