HURRICANE DELTA

LATEST INFORMATION:

Hurricane Delta is forecast to strengthen to a Category 4 Hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico before making landfall as a Category 2 storm along the central Gulf Coast early Saturday morning. Significant impacts are possible, including heavy rainfall and flash flooding. Parish officials plan to meet this morning to make decisions on evacuations, school closures, etc.

EVACUATIONS:

A VOLUNTARY EVACUATION has been issued for Port Fourchon.

A MANDATORY EVACUATION has been issued for campers, R/Vs, and boats in the Town of Grand Isle (Jefferson Parish).
